Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at my doorposts. For he who finds me finds life and obtains favor from the LORD." --Proverbs 8:34-35
"Blessed is he that waits, watching daily at My gates" Vigilant and patient for the time, when life unfolds and expectancies climb Bringing answers to our prayers in His time not ours Though fleeting minutes seemingly flow into hours And in our haste we thing we're forgotten Not accepting that it's not time for answers to be gotten We view life from our own perspective Feeling our needs, sometimes silent, reflective Understanding what we hope and expect to play out Forgetting that faith is what God is about Prayer gives voice to our wants and needs But God's own preordination is what precedes Life
Only He knows what is truly best for us We must turn to Him and in His essence entrust What direction we take, what decisions we make Knowing full well that our reality Was predestined, though redirected through free agency Seeing our human imperfection, our salvation is through the spiritual connection Of understanding that while on this earth we trod The best decision we can make is to "let go, let God"
Know that mistakes made can be forgiven Striving to work hard and daily be driven
To return to Him in a renewed state of grace Living life fully, remembering . . .
Blessed is he that waits
